Current partition information maintained in kernel does not match with
u-boot, this leads to corruption of u-boot env when we update uImage

On OMAP-L138 platform, EDMA event queue 0 should be used for audio
transfers so that they are not starved by video data moving on event queue 1.Commit 48519f0ae03bc7e86b3dc93e56f1334d53803770 (ASoC: davinci: let platform
data define edma queue numbers) had a side-effect of changing this behavior
by making the driver actually honor the platform data passed.Fix this now by passing event queue 0 as the queue to be used for audio

The function setup_vpif_input_channel_mode() used the VSCLKDIS register
instead of VIDCLKCTL. This meant that when in HD mode videoport channel 0
used a different clock from channel 1.Clearly a copy-and-paste error.

Seperate PDSTAT and PDCTL registers are defined for
domain 0 and domain 1 where as the code always reads
the domain 0 PDSTAT register and domain 1 PDCTL register.Fix this issue. While at it, introduce usage of macros

There are 5 LSB bits defined in PDSTAT and the code
currently uses a mask of 1 bit to check the status.Use a proper mask per the hardware specification.
While at it, use a #define for the mask to improve

This patch makes the cpuidle_states structure global (single copy)
instead of per-cpu. The statistics needed on per-cpu basis
by the governor are kept per-cpu. This simplifies the cpuidle
subsystem as state registration is done by single cpu only.
Having single copy of cpuidle_states saves memory. Rare case
of asymmetric C-states can be handled within the cpuidle driver
and architectures such as POWER do not have asymmetric C-states.Having single/global registration of all the idle states,
dynamic C-state transitions on x86 are handled by
the boot cpu. Here, the boot cpu would disable all the devices,
re-populate the states and later enable all the devices,
irrespective of the cpu that would receive the notification first.Reference:

This is the first step towards global registration of cpuidle
states. The statistics used primarily by the governor are per-cpu
and have to be split from rest of the fields inside cpuidle_state,
which would be made global i.e. single copy. The driver_data field

Cpuidle governor only suggests the state to enter using the
governor->select() interface, but allows the low level driver to
override the recommended state. The actual entered state
may be different because of software or hardware demotion. Software
demotion is done by the back-end cpuidle driver and can be accounted
correctly. Current cpuidle code uses last_state field to capture the
actual state entered and based on that updates the statistics for the
state entered.Ideally the driver enter routine should update the counters,
and it should return the state actually entered rather than the time
spent there. The generic cpuidle code should simply handle where
the counters live in the sysfs namespace, not updating the counters.Reference:

Boards used to specify zreladdr in their Makefile.boot with
zreladdr-y := x, so conflicting zreladdrs were silently overwritten.
This patch changes this to zreladdr-y += x, so that we end
up with multiple words in zreladdr in such a case. We can

This achieves two goals:
1) Get rid of davinci_uart_v2p() and davinci_uart_p2v() which were the
last users of PLAT_PHYS_OFFSET.2) Remove the probing of the M bit in the CP15 control reg and make

Some platforms (like OMAP not to name it) are doing rather complicated
hacks just to determine the base UART address to use. Let's give their
addruart macro some slack by providing an extra work register which will
allow for much needed cleanups.This is basically a no-op as this commit is only adding the extra argument

Use kzalloc rather than kmalloc followed by memset with 0
This considers some simple cases that are common and easy to validate
Note in particular that there are no ...s in the rule, so all of the
matched code has to be contiguousThe semantic patch that makes this output is available

Davinci platforms may define a default queue for each channel
controller. If one is not defined, the default queue is set to EVENTQ_1.
However, there's no way to distinguish between an unset default queue to
one that is set to EVENTQ_0, as EVENTQ_0 = 0.Explicitly specify the default queue for all channel controllers on all
Davinci platforms to EVENTQ_1, and don't overwrite it in the EDMA probe
function.One exception is the DA850 board, for which EVENTQ_1 is not a valid
option for its second channel controller. Use EVENTQ_0 instead for that

The wl1271 daughter card for AM18x EVMs is a combo wireless connectivity
add-on card, based on the LS Research TiWi module with Texas
Instruments' wl1271 solution.
It is a 4-wire, 1.8V, embedded SDIO WLAN device with an external IRQ
line and is power-controlled by a GPIO-based fixed regulator.Add support for the WLAN capabilities of this expansion board.

Some devices connected to the MMC bus are power controlled by external
means. For instance, an SDIO device may be powered down/up by an
external gpio line.In order to avoid toggling power from within the MMC host driver, add a
set_power callback function, which will be called by set_ios upon

The wl1271 daughter board makes use of a few GPIOs:
GPIO6_9 is used for powering down/up the WLAN functionality.
GPIO6_10 is used as an input IRQ line from the WLAN chip.Add the required pinmux configuration for these GPIOs.

* "NAND_" for flags in nand.h, used in nand_chip.options
* "NAND_BBT_" for flags in bbm.h, used in nand_chip.bbt_options
or in nand_bbt_descr.optionsThus, I am changing NAND_USE_FLASH_BBT to NAND_BBT_USE_FLASH.
Again, this flag is found in bbm.h and so should NOT be used in the

This patch works with the following three flags from two headers (nand.h
and bbm.h):
(1) NAND_USE_FLASH_BBT (nand.h)
(2) NAND_USE_FLASH_BBT_NO_OOB (nand.h)
(3) NAND_BBT_NO_OOB (bbm.h)These flags are all related and interdependent, yet they were in
different headers. Flag (2) is simply the combination of (1) and (3) and
can be eliminated.This patch accomplishes the following:
* eliminate NAND_USE_FLASH_BBT_NO_OOB (i.e., flag (2))
* move NAND_USE_FLASH_BBT (i.e., flag (1)) to bbm.hIt's important to note that because (1) and (3) are now both found in
bbm.h, they should NOT be used in the "nand_chip.options" field.I removed a small section from the mtdnand DocBook because it referes to
