With pm81/pm91/pm121, when the overtemperature state is entered, and
when it remains on after skipped ticks, the driver will try to leave
it too soon (immediately on the next tick). This is because the active
FAILURE_OVERTEMP state is not visible in "new_failure" variable of the
current tick. Furthermore, the driver will keep trying to clear condition
in subsequent ticks as FAILURE_OVERTEMP remains set in the "last_failure"
variable. These will start to trigger WARNINGS from windfarm core:[ 100.082735] windfarm: Clamping CPU frequency to minimum !

[ 101.952908] windfarm: Overtemp condition cleared !

after all failure bits have been cleared.I saw this error on iMac G5 iSight (pm121). Also pm81/pm91 are fixed

CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev*
markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitconst,
and __devexit from these drivers.Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me
in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.Cc: Bill Pemberton

The windfarm code, in it's current incarnation, uses request_module() to
load the various submodules it needs for a given platform so that only
the main platform control module needs to be modprobed. However, it was
missing various bits. This fixes it. In the future, we'll use some
hotplug mecanisms to try to get all of this auto-loaded on the platforms
where it matters but that isn't ready yet.Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt

This patch adds a windfarm module, windfarm_pm112, for the dual core G5s
(both 2 and 4 core models), keeping the machine from getting into
vacuum-cleaner mode ;) For proper credits, the patch was initially
written by Paul Mackerras, and slightly reworked by me to add overtemp
handling among others. The patch also removes the sysfs attributes from
windfarm_pm81 and windfarm_pm91 and instead adds code to the windfarm
core to automagically expose attributes for sensor & controls.Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt
