The devm_kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, devm_kcalloc().
This patch replaces cases of:devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)
with:
devm_kcalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)as well as handling cases of:
devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b * c, gfp)
with:
devm_kzalloc(handle, array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)
as it's slightly less ugly than:
devm_kcalloc(handle, array_size(a, b), c, gfp)
This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
devm_kzalloc(handle, 4 * 1024, gfp)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant. Some manual whitespace fixes were needed in this patch, as Coccinelle
really liked to write "=devm_kcalloc..." instead of "= devm_kcalloc...".The Coccinelle script used for this was:
// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is:
drivers/gpio/Kconfig:config HTC_EGPIO
drivers/gpio/Kconfig: bool "HTC EGPIO support"...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone.
Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that
when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only.We explicitly disallow a driver unbind, since that doesn't have a
sensible use case anyway, and it allows us to drop the ".remove"
code for non-modular drivers.Since module_init was not in use by this code, the init ordering
remains unchanged with this commit. We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information
is already contained at the top of the file in the comments.Cc: Linus Walleij

The HTC GPIO driver is a pure GPIO driver and I just can not
see what it is doing inside MFD. Let's just move it to GPIO
and take this opportunity to move the platform data toCc: arm@kernel.org
