Fix up inconsistent usage of upper and lowercase letters in "Samsung"
and "Exynos" names."SAMSUNG" and "EXYNOS" are not abbreviations but regular trademarked
names. Therefore they should be written with lowercase letters starting
with capital letter.The lowercase "Exynos" name is promoted by its manufacturer Samsung
Electronics Co., Ltd., in advertisement materials and on website.Although advertisement materials usually use uppercase "SAMSUNG", the
lowercase version is used in all legal aspects (e.g. on Wikipedia and in
privacy/legal statements on

Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0'
SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding
shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text.This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and
Philippe Ombredanne.How this work was done:
Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
the use cases:
- file had no licensing information it it.
- file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
- file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files
assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner
results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s)
to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not
immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:
- Files considered eligible had to be source code files.
- Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5
lines of source
- File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if

In Tegra186, the BPMP (Boot and Power Management Processor) implements
an interface that is used to read system temperatures, including CPU
cluster and GPU temperatures. This binding describes the thermal sensor

This patch is a preparatory patch to be able to read Exynos thermal
configuration from the device tree.It turned out that DTC is not able to interpret enums properly and hence
it is necessary to #define those values explicitly.For this reason the ./include/dt-bindings/thermal/thermal_exynos.h file

The size of unsigned long varies between 32 and 64 bit systems while
the size of phandle arguments is always 32 bits per parameter.On 64-bit systems, cooling devices registered via of-thermal apis fail
to bind when the min/max cooling state is specified as
THERMAL_NO_LIMIT (-1UL) as there is a mis-match between the value read
from the device tree (32bit) and the pre-processor define (64bit).As we're unlikely to need cooling states larger than 32 bits, and for
consistency with the size of phandle arguments, explicitly limit

This patch introduces a device tree bindings for
describing the hardware thermal behavior and limits.
Also a parser to read and interpret the data and feed
it in the thermal framework is presented.This patch introduces a thermal data parser for device
tree. The parsed data is used to build thermal zones
and thermal binding parameters. The output data
can then be used to deploy thermal policies.This patch adds also documentation regarding this
API and how to define tree nodes to use
this infrastructure.Note that, in order to be able to have control
on the sensor registration on the DT thermal zone,
it was required to allow changing the thermal zone
.get_temp callback. For this reason, this patch
also removes the 'const' modifier from the .ops
