Charger interrupt can't be caught anymore after plug in DC 5V in/out dozens of
times, that caused by VBUS_I or CHG_I pending interrupt not cleared in time. The root
cause is VBUS_I and CHG_I will be triggered in very narrow window, and VBUS_I/CHG_I
act as the sub-interrupt of charger and share the same interrupt handler. Thus if CHG_I
interrupt status is coming while VBUS_I handler is running, CHG_I interrupt status will
never be cleared, since interrupt has been disabled in ISR. The unclear CHG_I interrupt
status make pf1550 never trigger next interrupt again. So clear all charger interrupt
status in ISR to workaround instead of ack for every sub-intterrupt.Signed-off-by: Robin Gong

i2c device client shouldn't be freed by i2c device driver, there have
problems in below cases:
- one device match to different drivers, the second matched driver will
cannot access i2c device client if it is freed by the first matched driver.
- one module driver insmod: the first insmod fail free client due to system
low memory, after kswapd system free pages and has enough free pages, the
second insmod will cause match failed.Signed-off-by: Fugang Duan

The si476x_core_get_revision_info will send i2c command to FM module, if it
return error, there is no FM modules attached, so we need't to register the
sound card. otherwise, the pulseaudio will access this sound card, but return
a lot of i2c error.Signed-off-by: Shengjiu Wang

Currently, si476x-rev1.0 and si476x-rev4.0 board just support A10 compatible
command set. For si476x-rev1.0 board, its firmware revision is unsupported and
will revert to A10 compatible function. For si476x-rev4.0 board, its firmware
revision is two and will use A30 function, but A30 command set function can't
work for the rev4.0 board.
So make the command set configurable in dts. If "revision-a10" is present,
set the revision to SI476X_REVISION_A10 to use A10 compatible commit set.
Otherwise, get the revision from si476x register.Signed-off-by: Zidan Wang

The kernel WARNs and then crashes today if wm8994_device_init() fails
after calling devm_regulator_bulk_get().That happens because there are multiple devices involved here and the
order in which managed resources are freed isn't correct. The regulators are added as children of wm8994->dev. Whereas,
devm_regulator_bulk_get() receives wm8994->dev as the device, though it
gets the same regulators which were added as children of wm8994->dev
earlier.During failures, the children are removed first and the core eventually
calls regulator_unregister() for them. As regulator_put() was never done
for them (opposite of devm_regulator_bulk_get()), the kernel WARNs atWARN_ON(rdev->open_count);
And eventually it crashes from debugfs_remove_recursive().

is because all CHRG first level interrupts are mapped to it.
This fixes the issue by introducing separate irq for the

it.Fixes: 9c6235c86332 ("mfd: intel_soc_pmic_bxtwc: Add bxt_wcove_usbc device")

Commit 41a3da2b8e163 ("mfd: intel-lpss: Save register context on

also put the device in reset state.Due to the resetting of device, system cannot enter S3/S0ix
states when no_console_suspend flag is enabled. The system
and serial console both hang. The resetting of device is not
needed while going to suspend. Hence remove this code.Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org

There are a few issues on Intel Kaby Lake PCH-H properties added by
commit a6a576b78e09 ("mfd: lpss: Add Intel Kaby Lake PCH-H PCI IDs"):- Input clock of I2C controller on Intel Kaby Lake PCH-H is 120 MHz not
133 MHz. This was probably copy-paste error from Intel Broxton I2C
properties.
- There is no default I2C SDA hold time specified which is used when
ACPI doesn't provide it. I got information from Windows driver team
that Kaby Lake PCH-H can use the same configuration than Intel
Sunrisepoint PCH.
- Common HS-UART properties are not used.Fix these by reusing the Sunrisepoint properties on Kaby Lake PCH-H.

Pull GPIO updates from Linus Walleij:
"This is the bulk of GPIO changes for the v4.9 series:Subsystem improvements:
- do away with the last users of the obsolete Kconfig options
ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB and ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIOLIB (the latter
always sounded like an item on a wishlist to Santa Claus to me). We
can now select GPIOLIB and be done with it, for all archs. After
some struggle it even work on UM. Not that it has GPIO, but if it
wants to, it can select the library.- continued efforts to make drivers properly either tristate or bool.
- introduce a warning for drivers assigning default triggers to their
irqchip lines when probed from device tree, so we find and fix
these ambigous drivers. It is agreed that in the OF config path,
the device tree defines trigger characteristics.- the same warning, mutatis mutandis, for ACPI-probed GPIO irqchips.
- we introduce the ability to mark certain IRQ lines as "unusable" as
they can be taken by BIOS/firmware, unrouted in silicon and
generally nasty if you use them, and such things. This is put to
good use in the STMPE driver and also in the Cherryview pin control
driver.- a new "mockup" virtual GPIO device that can be used for testing.
The plan is to add unit tests under tools/* for exercising this
device and verify that the kernel code paths are working as they
should.- make memory-mapped I/O-drivers depend on HAS_IOMEM. This was
implicit all the time, but when people started building UM with
allyesconfig or allmodconfig it exploded in their face.- move some stray bits of device tree and ACPI HW description
callbacks down into their respective implementation silo. These
were causing issues when compiling on !HAS_IOMEM as well, so now
eventually UM compiles the GPIOLIB library if it wants to.New drivers:
- new driver for the Aspeed GPIO front-end companion to the pin
controller merged through the pin control tree.- new driver for the LP873x PMIC GPIO portions.
- new driver for Technologic Systems' I2C FPGA GPIO such as TS4900,
TS-7970, TS-7990 and TS-4100.- new driver for the Broadcom BCM63xx series including BCM6338 and
BCM6345.- new driver for the Intel WhiskeyCove PMIC GPIO.
- new driver for the Allwinner AXP209 PMIC GPIO portions.
- new driver for Diamond Systems 48 line GPIO-MM, another of these
port-mapped I/O expansion cards.- support the STMicroelectronics STMPE1600 variant in the STMPE
driver.Driver improvements:
- the STMPE driver now supports rising/falling edge detection
properly for IRQs.- the PCA954x will now fetch and enable its VCC regulator properly.
- major rework of the PCA953x driver with the goal of eventually
switching it over to use regmap and thus modernize it even more.- switch the IOP driver to use the generic MMIO GPIO library.
- move the ages old HTC EGPIO (extended GPIO) GPIO expander driver
over to this subsystem from MFD, achieveing some separation of
concerns"* tag 'gpio-v4.9-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-gpio: (81 commits)

The Arizona CODECs will generally function correctly without a reset line
although it is strongly advised to have one, as such we do allow the system
to boot if the reset gpio is missing or incorrectly specified. However
we should fail probe if we get a probe deferral request, this patch adds
handling for this case.Reported-by: Richard Fitzgerald

Due to the lack of parity in the way array fields have been named/
numbered, a mistake was made where more debug fields were declared
than actually existed. In doing so, 2 fields were added, which
although unclear, were already declared in the array. The result
was that the latter declarations trashed the former ones. This patch places the array back in the correct order and removes
the offending NULL entries. While we're at it, let's ensure this doesn't happen again by naming
each field properly and add a new *_LAST define to describe how
many fields there should be.Signed-off-by: Lee Jones
